princess images.jpg

To the sky I reach
To fetch one of the bright stars
I cry, I am not rich
Abject poverty, I bear its scars
I am but a barefaced pauper
In love with the precious princess
Who lives in castle that’s super
Filled with diamonds in its recess
Gold padded its concavity
An abode where dreams are cooked
Dressed in my humilty
I took my heart to her. She’s spooked
When my eyes cast a look at her
In her splendoured gait
My jaw fell upon a stool beneath her
And then I knew cruel fate
Has had me screwed
My dream came crashing down
And I sit here feeling blue
So,I packed my bits and left town
