SASHA’S HOUSE OF DREAMS-By Mshinaram Warigon Ahrey

SASSA

This house held many dreams

Playing children, their  screams

Housed all things treasured and loved

Many a marital qualms vitally solved

The breeze always tainted with tanginess

Of aromas of luscious salivating hapiness

A treasured grey mongrel whose majesty

In barks and paw licking in mood so zesty

The crowing cockerels, clucking chickens

The neighbour’s gossips, morn greetings

Made this a home that housed love

Today though, it is an empty cove

Stripped of its beauty and its loveliness

Shrouded by ghosts in their ghoulishness

The wilted flowers, the bare trees

Which were crafted as its beauties

Now decorate its solitary stance

No one to spare it even a glance

Of a home you once slept with an aroma

Of your childhood in your mouth, Sasha

Now an empty shell, a wraith, still empty

Waiting for rapturous redeeming entity

To re-posses, to renew

For now, kept in view

It still remains a house of dreams

Devoid of the children’s screams
